Very bored in work, so I did this. Done in pencil over the space of a few weeks when I wasn't busy. Started off as a rough idea of a composition for a painting, then I scribbled over it and instead of chucking it, I started to work into the details of the lines adding stuff as I went. Similar to how I paint in a way.
There is no way to measure an artist, or their work, because nothing matters, but their vision. Their acceptance by the rest of the world is merely external.

love the detail and the flow, it reminds me somewhat of M.C. Escher, sometimes its the unplanned work that ... well i was going to say gives you a glimpse inside of the artists mind... but that would be a bit dark wouldn't it, but really its your eye for detail and precision much more than the subject matter i think... i know i'm rattling off.. must be the single malt...peace
