I had to change the sky around in this one as some cider was spilt on the canvas(rock!) and the result ended in the clouds forming what looked like either an asteroid strike or what looked like to me a pyroclastic flow from a volcano sweeping the landscape. If you look closely at what could be interpreted as a bead of dew on the bottom of the painting, around the middle and to the right slightly, you can kinda see the outline of the upper half of a person in it. This appeared by fluke and I just exaggerated it further.
This is where the title came from as it looked like someone's first person view before they're wiped out.
...and thats the end of that chapter.

maybe it was the title that lead me to that conclusion but that was exactly what came to my mine. i've been reading Atlantis Found by Cussler and it begins with a comet strike so anyway. this is really great. so how did the exhibition go?
